Quality foot care need not be a financial strain. Most insurances and Medicare adequately cover podiatric care.

A special note about Medicare: Medicare covers diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions of the feet including infections, surgery, fractures and x-rays. They always cover the initial visit. Unfortunately they do not cover shoe inserts, trimming of nails or calluses (except for some diabetics with poor blood supply).
